▶ About Me

The person behind TechSnap

I'm Sai Pavan Saketh, from Andhra Pradesh. My path started in a lab at Sathyabama, Chennai — building face recognition systems and training deep learning models while everyone else memorised theory. Then I noticed the real problem: thousands of brilliant CSE students around me were completely lost, not from lack of talent, but from lack of a map.

So I built one. TechSnap grew from a dorm-room side project into a funded AI-powered student success ecosystem — career paths, live compilers, skill assessments, and an AI assistant — backed by Student Tribe and shaped by conversations across 15+ campuses.

I believe the best products come from the field, not the whiteboard. I validate before I build, ship fast, and stay obsessed with one question: how does a talented student in a Tier-2 college get a fair shot?

Here's what sets me apart and makes me unique

TECHSNAP
Funded · Live · Scaling
Techsnap Agentic AI Private Limited — India's AI-powered super app for CSE students. From a college lab in Chennai to a funded EdTech company backed by Student Tribe.

Founded on 7 October 2021 as Techsnap Educations LLP by a group of friends from Sathyabama University. Started as ProjectSnap — bridging the gap between academic learning and industry-ready skills.

Grew into a full product ecosystem: CareerPaths, SkillPaths, DataSnap, ManageSnap, EvalSnap, Snappie AI, AI Mock Interviews, and Opportunity Hub. In 2025, restructured as Techsnap Agentic AI Private Limited.

In August 2025, received investment from Student Tribe— India's leading student community platform — as strategic community, media and marketing partner. One platform. Zero confusion. Full career journey.

The Making of a Founder

Nine chapters. One company. Built from a dorm room in Chennai.

01
Chapter 01
2019 — 2021
The Lab at Sathyabama
B.Tech CSE at Sathyabama Institute, Chennai. While others studied theory, Saketh was deep inside real AI — building face recognition systems from scratch, experimenting with AutoML frameworks, and training deep learning models. CNNs, real-time inference, computer vision — not assignments, obsessions. This technical depth would become TechSnap's unfair advantage.

2021 — The Gap
The Problem Nobody Was Solving
Thousands of CSE students around him were completely lost. "Should I do Web Dev? Data Science? DevOps? Core CS? Cybersecurity?" — the same confusion, campus after campus. Placement cells gave generic advice. YouTube gave contradictory ones. Saketh realised: CSE has 40+ distinct career paths. Nobody was mapping them. Not a content problem — a navigation problem.

2021 — 2022
TechSnap + CareerPaths + SkillPaths + DataSnap
Rebranded from ProjectSnap to TechSnap. Launched CareerPaths — mapping every CSE career with structured roadmaps — and SkillPaths for step-by-step skill development. Then added DataSnap: a tech blogging and knowledge platform covering industry news, tech stories, and student-friendly learning resources. TechSnap was no longer a project. It was an ecosystem forming.

2022 — 2023
TechSnap vs Silicon Valley
Pivoted TechSnap into a full-stack coding and compiler platform — competing directly with HackerRank, DataCamp, and CodeAcademy. American giants with decades of head start and millions in funding. Saketh built real-time compilers, coding challenges, and skill assessments. Hit the road: 15+ campuses across Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Tech talks. Conversations with students, professors, HODs. The market was 10× bigger than expected.

2024 — The Research Year
The Ecosystem Insight
After 3 years of building, the team went deep into research — visiting colleges, interviewing students, faculty, HoDs, placement officers, and industry professionals across India. The finding: the problem wasn't lack of content. Students had plenty of courses. What they lacked was a connected ecosystem — career guidance + coding practice + projects + assessments + placement support + community, all in one place. Decision made: build the super app.

▶ Campus Chronicles

15+ Campuses. Real Conversations.

Most founders guess what their users need. Saketh went to them — tech talks, workshops, and long conversations with students, teachers, and HODs across AP and Tamil Nadu.

The Student Discovery

Hundreds of conversations with final-year CSE students revealed the same pattern: brilliant people, completely lost. Not for lack of talent — for lack of a map. TechSnap's career guidance feature was shaped entirely by these conversations.

The Teacher Gap

Professors wanted to teach industry-relevant skills but had no tools built for them. Industry curriculum, assessment automation, and progress tracking — none of the existing platforms solved this for Indian academia. TechSnap did.

The University Pressure

HODs and placement officers were drowning in spreadsheets. No placement tracking, no skill visibility, no employer-ready profiles. Saketh built the university dashboard after seeing this problem live at college after college.

Tech Talks That Converted

Tech talks weren't just marketing — they were market research in real time. Every audience revealed a new pain point. Every question from a student became a feature. Feedback loop at campus scale.

The Regional Insight

Students in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu face a specific challenge — Tier 2 colleges with Tier 1 ambitions and zero support infrastructure. TechSnap was designed for this gap, not the IIT student who already has everything.

Pre-Recorded Videos Fail

Every campus visit confirmed it: students buy courses and don't finish them. The completion rate problem is universal. TechSnap's live compiler + structured paths was the answer the market was missing.

What the Road Taught Him

01
The real user isn't the student who's already doing well — it's the one who's talented but invisible to the system. That's TechSnap's primary customer.
02
Teachers are an overlooked distribution channel. When a professor uses TechSnap, their entire class follows. The B2B playbook for edtech is through the teacher's desk, not the student's phone.
03
Andhra Pradesh alone has 700+ engineering colleges. Most are underserved. A founder with regional context and a working product is 5 years ahead of any Bangalore startup trying to enter this market cold.
04
Skill proof beats content access. Students don't need more videos. They need verifiable proof they can do the work — for recruiters, for confidence, for their career. That's what TechSnap's compiler platform delivers.

Who I Want to Meet

Not networking. Looking for specific people — a technical co-founder who wants to own TechSnap's infrastructure, an angel who bets early on regional India EdTech, and design partners willing to validate with their students.

If you see the same gap

Indian EdTech has billions in investment and still hasn't solved the core problem: a CSE student in AP has no clear path from college to career. TechSnap is solving it. If you want to build it, fund it, or be its first partner institution — this is that conversation.
